I was part of Hawapi 2021 throughout my migration process to England. This project is close to my heart because it gave me a home away from home. I looked forward to every zoom conversation with all the participants and team members of Hawapi 2021. Susie and Maxim, organizers and creators of the residency program HAWAPI, invited me to be part of this edition and I invited Jesenia and collectively we invited:Bitia, Josefina, Yojhami, Rolly, Jhordan, Ruro, Irazema, Miluska, Renzo, María Ines, Cristina and Isabel. If I was able to make it through the year, it was thanks to them and to them I dedicate this essay below.

Fui parte de Hawapi 2021 durante todo mi proceso migratorio a Inglaterra. Este proyecto está cerca de mi corazón porque me dio un hogar lejos del hogar. Esperaba con ansias cada conversación de zoom con todos los participantes y miembros del equipo de Hawapi 2021.
